Anita Drew, 85, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2021. She was born on June 2nd, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Rose Guidice. Anita and her family moved to Rockland County in the 1950’s where she met and married Albert Thorne. They raised two children together. Anita worked as a secretary at the Department of Social Services in Rockland County for 30+ years. After the passing of her first husband, she met the second love of her life, David Drew, and they’ve been happily married for 42 years. Anita is survived by her husband, David; her son Albert Thorne; grandsons Michael and John Grosso, Albert and Anthony Thorne and Jessica Morino; great-grandchildren Braxton, Mia, Charlie, Lucas, Jack, Leo, Diego, and Royce; and her sister Dolores DePietro. She was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Grosso; her siblings James Guidice and Marie Delloro.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11th, 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 12th, 11:00am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, followed by interment at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Joe Raso Hospice Residence.
