Annette Marro, 79, of Stony Point, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in the Bronx, NY on June 20, 1944. Annette graduated from Academy of the Resurrection and received Executive Secretarieal from The Wood School.
She married the love of her life, Joseph Marro, on December 7, 1963 and raised their family together. Annette had a career in the Insurance Industry as a Workman Compensation Specialist for the County of Rockland for many years. She had a passion for traveling, reading, scuba diving and cooking, but her greatest joy came from her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Annette is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Marro, her loving children Dr. Dawn Nilsen (Chris Nilsen), Dr. Lynn Marro (Kathy Alter), her cherished grandchildren Christpher Nilsen and Leah Nilsen. Annette was predeceased by her brother Matty Leone.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7th from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass will be held on Saturday, July 8th, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Annette's name to the Scleroderma Foundation, National Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr. Ste 105, Danvers, MA 01960.
