Carol Brigando of Stony Point, NY entered into eternal life on July 9, 2022, at the age of 80. Carol was born on August 17, 1941 in Queens, NY to Anthony and Helen DiBello and has been a Rockland County resident for the past 50 years.
She is survived by her three children, Donna Dowen, Laura Coll (Tim) and Chris Brigando (Sheri). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Tyler, Timothy, Patrick, Samantha, Olivia, and Ava, as well as two great grandchildren Dax and Elle. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Artie Brigando, and her brother Tony DiBello. Carol is also survived by her sister Diane Levitas (Larry), brother Bruce DiBello (Jeanne), sister-in-laws Virginia DiBello and Mary Caldarella (Sonny) as well as many nieces and nephews.
She took pride in her profession as a Registered Nurse and later enjoyed teaching as an instructor in nursing and staff development.
Carol worked at Letchworth Village for many years and was always kind and gentle to those less fortunate and those who suffered from both physical and mental illnesses. Carol enjoyed her second home in Naples, Florida and activities with the North Rockland Social Club, Stony Point Seniors and her many friends. She always had an extra step in her gait when she visited the casino with her family and friends. Carol always hosted the family for the holidays and enjoyed watching and encouraging her children and grandchildren in sports and dance over the years.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
