Diane C. O’Donnell (nee McGuire) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 11, 2023. She was 83 years old.
Diane was born in Brooklyn NY on October 1, 1940 to Albert and Katherine Thompson. Diane married her first love, Terence McGuire, on June 12, 1960 and moved to Stony Point to raise their family in 1974. Terence passed on April 22, 1979.
Diane worked as a court clerk in Rockland County Family Court for 30 years and was well known and loved by all who met her.
She married the love of her life, John, on September 3, 1989. They enjoyed spending time with their family, raising their dogs, their trips to Scotland, listening to Irish music and watching the NY Yankees.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, John, and her 3 children, Terence McGuire (Sueann), Kellie McGuire (Jason Hernandez), and Erin Maye (William).
She is also survived by her sister, Susan Gomez (Joseph) and her 5 cherished grandchildren: Daniel and Michael McGuire, Kiera, Ryan and Katherine O’Shea and her extended family and loving nieces and nephews.
Diane was predeceased by her brothers William, Theodore and Thomas.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 4-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, 11am, at St. Gregory Barbarigo in Garnerville.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland or the ASPCA.
