Emily Ann Delprincipio
Jan 29, 1935 — Jan 10, 2021
Emily Ann Del Principio, nearly 86 years old, peacefully went home to heaven on January 10, 2021, lovingly surrounded by her family at her home in Stony Point.
She was born in Haverstraw on January 29, 1935 to Adele DiNunzio and Francesco Dellatore. She was the youngest of nine siblings.
She came from humble beginnings, a child of Italian immigrants, in Haverstraw, which she always proudly called home. Her destiny brought her across the ocean to a small town in Italy where she met and married the love of her life, Gino Del Principio.
She was happily married to her loving husband for 65 1/2 years, with whom she shared an infinite love and a fairytale life.
She raised her beautiful family close to her Haverstaw roots, in Stony Point. She is survived by her devoted husband Gino, her three children Donna Del Principio-Yanitelli, Fina Del Principio and Albert Del Principio and their respective spouses Mark Yanitelli and Laura Del Principio, and her eight grandchildren Serena, Mariella, Mark, Gabrielle, Gino, Nico, Albert and Emily.
She was extremely loving, charismatic and beautiful inside and out. No words could ever adequately describe her and what she meant to her family. Her life and the ways she touched everyone blessed to know her were extraordinary. She was full of life, love, grace and humor. She humbly enjoyed the best things in life and loved to laugh. She captivated everyone with her simplicity and charm. She adored her husband of 65 1/2 years, the love of her life. He endearingly called her his chickadee. They shared an infinite love together. She was so proud of her three children and their remarkable accomplishments. She was blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren whom she truly adored and encouraged them to strive to live a wonderful life like hers.
She loved to be with her family, to travel, to cook, to shop and joke around. Her heart and character was bigger than life.
She inspired us each day of our lives and will be with us always.
As "La Stella Della Casa" she will forever shine in our hearts.
