Frances K. Smith

Frances K. Smith, 95, of Pomona, NY passed away on December 30, 2019. She was born on May 19, 1924 in Queens, NY to Peter & Catherine (Nitzel) Kerzner. Frances married the love of her life Raymond C. Smith Sr. in February 1947, he predeceased her in 1986. Frances was a member of the Catholic Daughters in St. Peters Church for over 50 years and she was a devoted catholic and parishioner in St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville for over 25 years. She also was a member of the Haverstraw senior Citizen’s. Frances loved shopping and playing bingo. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond C. Smith Sr. (1986), her sons Bruce Edward Smith and Bradford Peter Smith. Frances is survived by her loving son Raymond C. Smith Jr. and his wife Janet of Keasbey, NJ; Her two daughters-in-law Nancy P. Smith and Rose Smith; Her adored grandchildren Jessica M. Smith, Allison F Bergmann (Thomas), Michelle C. Freeman (Kevin), Michael Smith (Ieva) Toni Ann Smith, Stacey Lynn Robinson; her cherished great-grandchildren: Jayden, Chase and Blake, and her caring sister-in-law Gloria Kerzner of Long Island, NY. The family will receive friends & relatives on Friday Jan. 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Religious services will be on Sat. Jan. 4th at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Long Island City, NY.
