Grace Delalla
d. Feb 12, 2024
Grace DeLalla (nee Copicotto), age 70, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on January 25, 1954 in the Bronx, Grace devoted herself to her entire family and all those around her. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished Nonna, caring aunt, and a treasured sister-in-law and friend. To know her, was to love her.
Grace is survived by her loving husband Joe, who would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together in May; her beloved children, Joey DeLalla (Therese), Jacki Procopio (J.J.), Marissa Ruggiero (Steve) and Megan Curley (Tom); along with her 12 amazing grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Grace was well-known for her dedication over the years to the St. Gregory Barbarigo School and Church community. She was a sports fanatic, and dedicated her spare time to watching games and scrimmages for all her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Wherever there was a set of bleachers, you would find Grace there.
Grace leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. In her memory, let us strive to emulate these wonderful qualities that defined her remarkable life - love without reservation, kindness without bounds, and compassion for all those around her. May Grace’s light continue to shine brightly and remain in our hearts forever!
The Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burual will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, 11:00am, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw.
