Jean M. Guidice, a native of Haverstraw, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Orange Regional Medical Center on Monday, September 28, 2020 surrounded by her children. Jean was born in Haverstraw, NY on May 29, 1941 to Leslie A. and Geneva (Muntz) Gallo and attended Haverstraw Schools. She married Joseph Guidice in September of 1963. She was a licensed hairdresser and also worked at the Summit Park Hospital. She also was a member of the Haverstraw Elks Ladies Club and Leo Laders American Legion Auxiliary and the Sebastian (Florida) Elk Ladies Club. She dedicated her entire life to being a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Jean is survived by her son, Joseph Jr. (Gail), son Michael (Diana), and daughter Roxanne Knoll, her grandchildren Andrea, Stefanie, Ann-Marie, Janine, Nicole, Michael, Danielle, Mallory, Kayleigh and James. She is also survived by her brother, Leslie G. Gallo. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph, her parents, and her sister Lorraine Hoban. Calling hours will be Friday, October 2, 2020 from 4 pm to 8 pm at TJ McGowan Funeral Home in Garnerville. Masks and social distancing required at the funeral home. Service will be held at the funeral home at 7pm on Friday. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 3, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at https://www.michaeljfox.org/donate/.
