Kelly Ann Markus

Kelly Markus passed away peacefully on September 17, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 16, 1977 to Arthur and Bridget Markus. Kelly was an active Ladies’ Auxiliary member at Cosgriff Hose Co. #4 in Haverstraw, NY. She was widely known as the Online Shopper at ShopRite in Garnerville, NY. She was famous for always wearing a smile. She is survived by her loving mother Bridget Markus of West Haverstraw and her sisters Janine and Robert Friscoe of Fort Myers, FL, Kerri and Robert Hamilton of Binghamton, NY, Karen Markus and her partner Samantha Strickland of Fort Myers, FL. She loved and adored all her nieces and talked about them all the time: Kaitlynn, Madyson and Rylee Friscoe and Fiona, Cadhla and Kiera Hamilton. She is also survived by her loving Aunt Catherine Clifford of Queens, NY. Kelly was fortunate to be blessed with so many wonderful friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father Arthur Markus and husband Michael Kyer. Kelly’s visitation will be held on Friday, September 20th from 3pm to 8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 21st at 10:30am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 21 Cinder Rd. Garnerville, NY with interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw.
