Leo Francis Martin passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 20th, 2021. He was 64 years old. Leo was born in Nuneaton, England on April 8th, 1956 to James and Nora Martin (nee Thornton) from County Galway, Ireland. He married the love of his life, Joanne Ryan, on March 24th, 1979 and raised three children in Stony Point, NY. Leo worked as a dispatcher for the MTA (MABSTOA) and retired after 31 years. He was a member of the American Legion Leo Ladders (sons) in Thiells, NY. He is survied by his wife, Joanne, his three children, his sons Christopher and Kevin and his daugher Kelly and her fiance Nicholas Walsh; his father James Martin, his sibilings Mary Martin Harris and Edward Martin, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leo was predeceased by his mother, Nora Martin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, 3pm-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 25th, 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Route 9W, Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 74 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956 and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
