Lisa M. Garvey

Lisa Marie Alongi Garvey passed away peacefully in her home on January 24th, 2024, with her family beside her. Lisa was born on June 9th, 1967, in Beverly, Massachusetts to Josephine and John Alongi. She graduated from North Rockland High School and went on to receive a degree from the University at Albany. Lisa married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Brian, on July 11, 1992. Together they raised their 3 children in Stony Point. Lisa was heavily involved in her community. She served on both the Thiells and Willow Grove PTA committees for several years as well as coaching both of her daughters’ North Rockland Pop Warner cheerleading teams. She was a wonderful and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Brian, their children Brandon, Kaitlyn, and Emily, her parents Josephine and John, and her sisters Michele (Donath) and Jaclyn (Capon). Family will receive friends on Friday, February 2nd from 4-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home , 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 3rd, 10am, at St. Gregory Barbarigo. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa's name to Memorial Sloan Kettering and United Hospice.
