Lucille “Penny” Van Sise (nee Wilkinson), 83, of Stony Point passed away peacefully Saturday, July 31, 2021. She was a graduate of Metuchen High School in Metuchen, NJ where she was an active member of the cheerleading squad. She met her husband, Elwood Jr. there and settled in Blauvelt, where they raised six sons, and later Middletown, NJ. After Elwood’s passing she moved to Stony Point and volunteered at Head Start. Penny was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed dice games, jigsaw puzzles, gardening and baking. She is survived by her brothers Ron (Nancy) of West Creek, NJ and Jim (Kathy) of Lavallette, NJ; sons Elwood (Cheryl) of Stony Point, Barry (Lisa) of Spring Valley, Craig of Blauvelt, Scott (Dawn) of Stony Point, Mark (Helen) of Long Pond, PA and George of Blauvelt; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Penny was predeceased by her husband and her daughter-in-law MaryEllen. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 12 from 3:00-5:00pm at TJ McGowan Funeral Home, 71 Central Hwy, Garnerville, NY.
