Maria Asinovsky

Maria Asinovsky, affectionately called Masha, Baba, or Moussa, passed peacefully June 26th, 2019 in Suffern, NY. She was 81. Born in Ukraine, raised in Uzbekistan, she is survived by one daughter, Klara who she loved very much, and two granddaughters, Jane and Nicole whom she called “my happiness, my heart.” She is survived by her husband Izrail, a dear companion from the start of her story in America. As a wife, she was decisive. As a mother, she was unpredictable in the best of ways. As a grandmother, she was nurturing and gentle. As a friend, she was always available to talk. Her supportive, kind, and exuberant nature will be truly missed, but never forgotten by those who knew her. Her radiant energy will continue to live through the lessons, stories, and memories shared with the people she loved. A service will be held at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY, on Friday June 28th, 2019 from 11:45am until 2pm to commemorate her life. A private burial will be held for the family.
