Marilyn Secone (Bolson), 87, of Stony Point, passed away July 30, 2021. Marilyn was born on September 15, 1933 to the late Raymond and Rose Bolson. She was married to the late John Secone for 62 years. She worked for The Phone Company prior to raising her family. Her and her husband also fostered children for 25 years for the County of Rockland. She loved shopping, a good sale, playing scrabble, cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Paul) Sorriento of Stony Point, sons John William Secone (Lisa) of Maine, and John Michael Bauer (Ingris) of Stony Point. She loved spending time with her grandchildren John, Desirae, Laura, Rachel, Kyle, Ally, and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her siblings Morten, Florence, Harry, Henrietta, Sidney, and son Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, from 3-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville. Prayer service will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 10am, at the funeral home followed by entombment at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
