Michael L. Mennuti
Sep 8, 1958 — May 23, 2023
Michael Louis Mennuti passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 23rd, 2023. He was 64 years old. Michael was born in Queens, NY on September 8th, 1958, to Louis Mennuti and Nancy Scala. He worked as a District Manager for Performance Food Group. Michael married the love of his life, Christine, on June 16th, 1990. They lived in North Rockland where they raised their two daughters, Ashley, Alexa and James (fiancé), and his snuggle cat, Queenie.
Michael’s greatest passion was cooking. Every holiday, vacation, or get together was centered around his love of food. Nothing made him happier than everyone enjoying the spread he would put out. One of Michael’s greatest joys was cruising with his best friends, Jim and Joyce Lavecchia, and vacationing in Wildwood, New Jersey with their family. Michael was also known to be the chef, House Chairman, and President of the Italian American Social Club of West Haverstraw when it was still running. Nothing in this world made Michael happier than being the father of his daughters and husband to his loving wife.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Christine, and their two children, Ashley and Alexa and soon-to-be son-in-law, James. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Mennuti, niece, Ciara Greco, mother-in-law, Rose Cocca, and sister and brother-in-laws, Doreen and Mark Manger and Patricia and Gerald Rau. Michael is predeceased by his father, Louis Mennuti, and mother, Nancy Scala. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30th from 3-7pm at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 10am at St. Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, NY followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland County.
