Nora Fitzpatrick

Nora (née Walsh) Fitzpatrick passed away peacefully November 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Nora, originally from Ballymacarbry, Co. Waterford, Ireland, was born March 20, 1938 to Patrick and Ellen Walsh. She is survived by her husband John of 54 years, her children: Sean (Alicia) Fitzpatrick, Brendan (Deanna) Fitzpatrick, Noreen Bernhardt, Patrick (Jamie) Fitzpatrick, Ann (Keith) Finnerty, Eileen (Aidan) Ryan, and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Paddy, Martin, Benny and John. Nora was predeceased in death by her parents, her sisters Eileen O’Gorman and Kitty Burke, and her brothers Jimmy, Billy and Larry Walsh. Nora immigrated from Ireland to Bronx, NY in her early 20’s where she met and married her husband John (Clifden, Co. Galway). They moved to Garnerville, NY in 1976. Nora loved to Ceili Dance. She attended dances at The Irish Center in Blauvelt, NY, Queens, Yonkers, New Jersey and in her favorite trip to Portugal. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14 at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY between the hours of 2pm & 4pm and 7pm & 9pm. A Mass of Christan Burial will be held at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville NY on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 10:30am with interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
