Patricia Bachan

Patricia Ann Bachan (née Offutt), 74, of New Hempstead,NY, passed away January 14, 2022 with her family by her side . She was born in Hillsdale New Jersey on May 27, 1947 to Florence D (Arzt) Offutt and Frank P Offutt. Patricia Bachan Graduated from Pascack Valley Highschool ‘65, and received a Masters + in Elementary Education from Hillsdale College in Michigan. She was married to Frank Bachan (Died 4/20/2016) on June 26, 1977. Patricia Bachan worked in education and taught elementary and middle school students at George G White School in Hillsdale. She left teaching when her first child was born to start her full time job of being a mom. (Her best and favorite job). Patricia was a Tupperware consultant during the ‘90’s and she then worked as a legal secretary for 16 years before retiring to spend time with her beloved grandchildren and family. Patricia had a passion for reading, puzzles, and knitting/crocheting. For many years; 15, she was a member of the West Nyack Library Club for Needlework. When her grandchildren were born her passion changed to spending time with them and her children. For decades Patricia also loved to go to Cape Cod multiple times a year to enjoy a good book on the beach with her toes in the sand or eating a Lobster roll while watching one of her famous Grammy sunsets. Patricia loved to travel and go on trips/vacations with her daughter and family. She is survived by her three children and their spouses-Melissa Rodriguez (Bachan), John Bachan, and Michael Bachan and her five Grandchildren, Preston, Christopher, Aubrey, Nicholas, and Vivian. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the American kidney Fund or The American Liver Foundation.
