Richard G. Schwartz
Oct 25, 1961 — May 7, 2024
Richard G. Schwartz passed away peacefully at home with his son and daughter by
his side on May 7th, 2024. He was 62 years old. Richard was born in Nyack, NY to
Gordon and Nina Schwartz.
Richard was a dedicated electrician by trade, having worked over 40 years with
IBEW Local Union 363. Beyond his professional life, Richard enjoyed spending
his days fishing, hunting, woodworking, and family time with good food and
drinks. Known for his vibrant personality and ability to make all those laugh
around him, Richard was a friend to many and cherished by his family. He was the
silliest grandpa, lovingly known as “silly goat” and was described as the greatest
father.
Richard will be deeply missed by his son Ricky and wife Megan Schwartz,
daughter Kali and husband Will Morrobel and his beautiful grandchildren, Rhys,
Chloe and Atlas. He is survived by siblings Chris and Jeff Seidel, Karl and Linda
Schwartz, Robert and Suzanne Schwartz and Kathleen Senter, along with many
nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Nina
Schwartz and brother Paul Schwartz.
A ceremony to honor and remember Richard will be held at T.J. McGowan Sons
Funeral Home on May 17th, 2024, from 3 - 7 pm. Located at 71 Central Hwy,
Garnerville, NY 10923. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to United
Hospice of Rockland in Richard’s memory.
