Theresa Rita Klein “Tessie” of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in West Haverstraw, NY to Rose (Zaccardo) and Peter Tummillo on January 16, 1937. Tessie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jerry Klein, her children, Jerry, Jr. (Donna), Peter (Mike) and Joann (Dino) Kasamis and her four grandchildren, Jerry III, Brittany, Nick and Stephen, sister Josephine Fox and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Louis, Dominick and Tony.
Tessie was a hairdresser in her early career, then worked as the “lunch lady” at North Rockland High School for 25 years, and when she retired, she babysat her grandchildren. She loved shopping, cooking, reading, entertaining, going to Cape May for vacation and Atlantic City to play the slots, and spending time with her family. You can find her on the podcast she did with her son (the chef), Peter on Food’n on Apple and Spotify. The episode is called Food’n Family.
Memorial Services will be held at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY on Monday, May 22 from 3:00pm-7:00pm; The mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY on Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00am.
