Vito Fernandez Andongo passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 16, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 87 years old. He was born in the Philippines on June 15, 1937 to Ignacio and Eufracia. He worked as a barangay captain in the Town of Quesban, Calasiao for many years. Vito married the love of his life, Nazaria, on June 12, 1965. They moved to the United States of America in February 2001. He loved to do carpentry and spend time with his family, but his greatest joy came from his 20 grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him, Vito is survived by his beloved wife, Nazaria, and his 5 children, Divina, Jay, Peter, Renato and Cristina. He is also survived by his 20 cherished grandchildren, Jonah Elaine "Jel," Vien, Hans, Joyce, Zy, Calli, Jashley, Jayrylle, Justin, Jaylianne, Vincent, Rainier, Adonis, Apollo, Athena, Dominic, Eunice, Rj, Daryl, Ruzty. Family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 11am, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church.
