Frances Louise Coppola
Nov 4, 1926 — May 9, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frances L. Coppola, of Stony Point, NY on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the age of 93. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family by her side. She was born on November 4th, 1926 to the late Michael and Maria Vanacore. She grew up in the Bronx with her seven brothers and one sister. Frances married the love of her life, Frank E. Coppola on November 21, 1948. They are now reunited together in Heaven. Together they raised their four loving daughters, Fran, Angela, Jeanette, and Lisa. She was loved dearly by her four wonderful sons-in-law, Nick, JoJo, Angelo, and Anthony; blessed with her eight grandchildren, Melissa (Anthony), Janine (Tony), Joseph (Cheryln), Nicholas (Elyse), Anthony (Stacey), Michael, Kristen, and LeAnn; cherished by her nine great-grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Vincent, Thomas, Nicholas, Francesca, Joseph, Jonathan, and Anthony. She was adored and loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She worked as an assistant cook at Holy Rosary School in the Bronx for many years. Her passion was “her New York Yankees”, never missed a game and watched each one on repeat! Scratch tickets and Bingo were also a favorite of hers. But most of all, she absolutely loved a day at the Casino! She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956 – In Memory of Frances Coppola.
