Gloria Sforza of Tomkins Cove, 93, passed away on August 26, 2020. She is the daughter of Giuseppi Rofi & Julia D’Addazio Rofi born on October 15, 1926 in New York, NY.
Gloria is a former air raid warden of World War II. She was the payroll supervisor of the American Bank Note Company until her retirement. In her spare time she was a volunteer at Helen Hayes hospital. She enjoyed being part of the Italian American club and also an active member of the Stony Point Senior Citizens. She was a great storyteller and an avid seamstress. Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & friend.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Marie Marazita, Grandchildren Michele LaBarbarber (Joseph), Nicole Colluzzi (John), Patricia Downs (Shawn), Great-grandchildren, Joseph, Anthony, Luke, Mikey, Grace, Ryan, & Lola. She is predeceased by her husband, Pasquale, son Frank, & son-in-law Philip A. Marazita. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10am on August 31, 2020 at Immaculate Conception RC church in Stony Point, NY. A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held that day at the Hudson Water Club 606 Beach Road , West Haverstraw, NY 10993 at 2pm.
