Julia M. Ferracane passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023. She was 96 years old. Julia was born on January 8, 1927 in West Haverstraw, NY and attended Haverstraw High School. Julia and her sister, Babe, were the co-owners of Ferracane’s Bar and Grill for many years. She also worked at Lederle in Pearl River until her retirement. Julia loved to bake and plant her flowers, but her greatest joy came from her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Julia is survived by Sherry, Brian, Ryan, and Gina Walsh; Lena, Bill, William and Victoria McNamara; Richard Nardiello, Ganeene O’Brien, Joe O’Brien, and Angela and Junior Hurtado; Ronald Nardiello, and Darrell and David Nardiello; Domenic and Tiago Nardiello; Donna & Anthony Branca, and John & Julia Branca. Julia was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Fannie Ferracane, and her sister, Mary “Babe” Ferracane.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2pm-5pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, 10am at St. Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
