Marylin Maher passed away peacefully within her home on Wednesday, March 1. She was 3 days past her 80thBirthday. She was born in Patterson, NJ on February 26, 1943, to James and Josephine, who passed away shortly after her birth and raised by her loving stepmother Rose. She worked at Nyack Hospital for many years. She married the love of her life, Tom, in 1970 and started their life together in Haverstraw, NY. They moved to Highland Falls where they raised their two children. Marylin enjoyed her knitting and crochet, spending time with her family and friends, “the girls”, but her greatest joy came from her 7 grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Marylin is survived by two children, Tom and Michael. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Cody, William, Brendan, Annabel, Rachel, Colin and Nicholas. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY. Mass at St. Peters, Haverstraw, on Monday at 10am. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude at stjude.org.
