Nicolina Zeolla Ankudavich passed away March 6th, 2023, at the Northern Riverview Healthcare Center in West Haverstraw. She was 78 years old and was born on October 2nd 1944 in Colle Sannita, Benevento, Italy. Nicolina was predeceased by her mother and father Libera & Giovanni Zeolla, as well as her brother Nicola D. Zeolla. She leaves behind her sister Rosaria, nephews Antonia, John and Robert and their families, and a niece Lidia and her family. She had a carefree personality that made meeting people quite easy for her, therefore leaving behind many friends as well.
Nicolina came to New York from Italy with her brother when she was a teenager. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx in 1965 and went on to work many office jobs.
Her passions were fitness and traveling. Nicolina never received her driver’s license, so she walked everywhere. Some people only knew her wearing walking sneakers. She even completed the NY Marathon.
Nicolina enjoyed traveling and had been back to Italy numerous times. She also traveled to Argentina, Singapore, and other destinations.
Her infectious personality will be missed by all.
Per her request, Nicolina will be cremated, and a memorial will be held on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 from 2pm-4pm at TJ McGowan & Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw, NY
