Patricia “Pat” Ann McEntee, age 79 of Garnerville, passed away on Friday April 10, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Better known as “Mims” to her great grandchildren, Pat was born on August 6, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late James and Mary Lyons. She was a graduate of the class of 1958 from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers, NY. On June 10, 1961, Pat married Jim McEntee, the love of her life, at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Yonkers. Pat was employed at Good Samaritan Hospital as a registered nurse for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, was an avid reader, and a frequent visitor to Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore. She is survived by her husband Jim of 58 years; three daughters Susan McGrath, Patricia Underwood (Dave), and Jeanne McEntee; seven grandchildren Jennifer Scolaro (Nick), Jeremy Shanker (Meri), Erin Vernon (Chase), Danny Shanker, James R McEntee, Nicole Underwood, and Bryan Underwood; three great grandchildren Ellie, Raigen, and McKinlee; two sisters Nancy Whalen and Kathleen Lawrence; and sister-in-law Sister Margaret McEntee. Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital Emergency Department as well as Joe Raso Hospice Residence for their incredible compassion and kindness during this time.
