Rafael Ruben Vargas

Rafael Ruben Vargas (Rafi) passed away on May 24th, 2023, in Bronx New York. He was 34yrs old. Rafael was born on October 13, 1988 at Bronx North Central Hospital to Mary E Vargas and Ruben Reyes. Rafael a beloved son whose passions were fitness and sports; also enjoyed cooking. He will be missed by all who truly knew him. Rafael was survived by daughter Angeline Marie Vargas, brothers Harry Guzman and Luis F Guzman, and sister Katherine Martinez. Services were held at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw NY on June 4, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, June 5, 2023 10 am at St. Peter & St. Mary’s Church in Haverstraw followed by interment at St Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. The family thanks all who attended and their gracious donations being forward to The Fortune Society to continue to advocate services that rebuild lives.
