Roseanne Catherine Brophy, 84, of Haverstraw, NY passed away on April 15, 2019. She was born on March 11, 1935 in Nyack to Arthur & Myrtle (Smith) Perini. Roseanne married the love of her life Martin Brophy on August 31, 1957 in St. Peters Church in Haverstraw. Roseanne worked at Letchworth Village for over 30 years. She was a member of the Haverstraw Elks Ladies Club 877 & the Haverstraw senior Citizens Club. Roseanne enjoyed going to Sea Isle City at the Jersey shore with her family, Playing Bingo, Reading and her trips to Atlantic City.
She is predeceased by her son Kevin, her sister Marie Mackey and her brother Arthur Perini. Roseanne is survived by her loving husband Martin of Haverstraw, her beloved children Maryanne Slain of Wallingford, CT, Martin (Annemarie) of Stony Point, Michael of Haverstraw, Matthew of Camphill, PA, James of Garnerville, her adored & cherished grandchildren Brittney, Sean, Elizabeth, Kevin, Michael, Danny, Paul & Scott. Her caring brother & sister-in-law John & Rose Perini of Middletown, NY and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends & relatives on Wednesday April 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 133 Broadway Haverstraw, NY. A Christian Blessing will be offered on Thursday April 18th at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Interment to follow in the F.W. Loescher Rockland County Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Roseanne’s memory to St. Peters Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927.
