Charles "Charlie" Edmond Cox, Ii

January 26, 1981 — November 5, 2023

Charles “Charlie” Cox, 42, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Charles was born on January 26, 1981 in Charlotte, North Carolina. After attending East Mecklenburg High School, Charlie attended Central Piedmont Community College and Watauga Community College. Charles married his wife, Tiffany Wishon Cox, on October 19th, 2019 and lived in Charlotte, North Carolina with their two dogs Duchess and Tyus. Charles was a proud assistant manager at Dick’s Sporting Goods for 16 years. Charles loved spending time with family and friends, eating salt and pepper wings with Greek wing sauce from Juliana’s Restaurant and spending time on the South Carolina beaches of Cherry Grove, Pawley’s Island and Sullivan’s Island. Even though Charlie enjoyed the beach, his true place of happiness was the mountains of North Carolina. As much as Charlie adored the people in his life, his true love was Duke basketball. If Duke was playing, you’d be sure to find Charlie donning his Duke attire and spiritedly cheering on the team. GO DUKE! Charlie is survived by his wife, Tiffany Wishon Cox; parents, Charles (Buster) and Deirdre Lukoski Cox; in-laws, Randy and Lori Wishon; siblings, Allison Cox McCutcheon and husband Cameron McCutcheon, Joseph Cox and wife Erica Smith Cox; eight beloved nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his grandparents, James “Butter” Howell Cox, Inez Simmons Cox, Frank Joseph Lukoski, Jr and Ruth Payne Lukoski; as well as his faithful dog, Kado. There will be a celebration of Charlie’s life in the new year.
