Gustavo "Gus" Carrera

Gustavo Carrera, 86, passed away peacefully in his home in Rock Hill, SC on November 24, 2024. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Zoraida and three sons, Paul, Fuad and Rory. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a large number of family members here in the United States as well as Ecuador. Gus, came to the United States in his early 20's. He lived in Manhattan, New York where he met his wife. He was very active person with his family, friends and church. He loved playing soccer and golf. He leaves a void in this world. He was always willing to lend a hand when someone was in need. He only saw the good in people, which was a great attribute.  He adopted three neighborhood dogs that loved him very much.  A private service will be held for family members and loved ones in Waxhaw NC.
