Pramod Dattatraya Mane

Pramod Dattatraya Mane, 82 years of age, of Pune, India, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 at his home in Charlotte, NC, with family nearby.

Born on June 27, 1943 in India, Pramod lived a life defined by devotion to family, strength of character, and spirituality.

He was the beloved husband of Priya Mane, to whom he was devoted throughout their marriage. They spent decades hosting parties, socializing, and being the first ones on the dance floor for songs from Bollywood, disco, pop, and much more. Pramod provided constant and devoted care during Priya’s cancer. Following her passing, he embraced life with curiosity, traveling to destinations including India, Alaska, Toronto, Louisiana, and many other driving adventures to new destinations, while remaining deeply connected to his family.

He was the loving father of Viraj Mane and Ajay Mane, and cherished father-in-law to Aregnaz Mane. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to Arya Mane.

In his later years, Pramod made his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he lived for the past eight years. His family remained a central part of his life, with frequent visits, family gatherings, and shared holidays that brought him great joy and fulfilment. His son Ajay and daughter-in-law Aregnaz devoted countless weekends to spending quality time with him including cooking family recipes and exploring North Carolina together, reflecting the closeness and love that defined the family.

Those who knew him will remember his emphasis on health, strength, community, and spirituality. He instilled these values deeply in his children and grandchildren through both his words and his example. His guidance, discipline, generosity, and steady presence shaped the lives of those around him in enduring ways.

Just days before his passing, he was able to spend meaningful time with his whole family. These final moments together were a source of love, comfort, affection, and gratitude for all involved.

In his final days, Pramod expressed a sense of peace and readiness for the next stage of his journey. His family takes comfort in knowing that he passed peacefully and on his own terms, in keeping with the wishes he had expressed over several years.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
