Gloria Darlene Stangeland

Gloria D. [Moter] Stangeland  Was born on Dec. 15th 1934 to Prescott and Johanna Moter .

She attended South Dakota School for the blind in Gary S.D. Her mother also attended the school as a young child, where there is a picture of her mother as a child, 2 siblings attended also. Gloria was united in marriage to Donald T. Stangeland. They lived in various communities in S.D. before moving to the cities in MN. There they raised their 4 children Donna, Gerald, Marlene, and Diane. She didn't let her blindness stop her from doing things she loved. Cooking was one of them. People would say " boy she could cook ". Going to garage sales and sewing were also things she enjoyed. She loved being a grandma, great grandma, and I think being a great great grandma made her very happy. She passed away March 19th 2026 at the age of 91 in Hudson WI. Grateful to have shared her life Brother Clifford Moter [Janice]; Daughter Marlene [Perry] Andrews, Daughter Diane Oldeen ; 5 grandchildren Shawn, Russ, Jason, Lisa Andrews, and Randy Oldeen. Several great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

Preceded in death by daughter Donna; grandson Mathew; husband Donald; and son Gerald.

She will be missed. She will be laid to rest at the Newport cemetery in MN on May 1st at 11:00 along side her husband.
