Clifford Myers

Clifford Myers Jr., 88, of Yuba City, CA, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2016 at his home with his family beside him.Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Odell & Irene Myers, his journey began. He was a World War II vet proudly serving in the Navy on the USS Pensacola & USS Hector. He then returned home were he met and married the girl down the street, Margaret Louise Myers, for 65 years.Joining the Border Patrol, they both moved to several different states. In Texas, their daughter, Cynthia, was born, then thirteen months later their son, Buzz, was born here in Yuba City.He and his family were stationed in Nassau Bahamas, where he learned his new passion, golf. He was a hard working, loving husband and father.His retirement came full circle and they ended up back in Yuba City to enjoy his hometown, family and friends. He played a lot of golf and planted very big gardens.He was preceded in death by his loving parents Odell and Irene, his sister Norma Jean Miller and his son Clifford Earl Myers (Buzz).He is survived by his loving wife Louise Myers and daughter Cindy Myers, his two brothers Duane Myers and Don Myers of Yuba City.Visitation will start at 9:00 AM, Saturday January 23, 2016, followed by services at 10:00 AM at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Ted Tolson, officiating. Burial will follow at Sutter Cemetery with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy.
