Cody M. Meyers
March 27, 1996 — January 13, 2023
Cody M. Meyers of Yuba City, CA, passed away January 13, 2023, at the age of 26. He was a life time resident of the Yuba-Sutter area, and the Safety Coordinator for Hylan West.
Cody Meyers attended Tierra Buena Elementary, Butte Vista Elementary and graduated from River Valley High School. At a very young age he was very active and loved playing youth sports. He played baseball with the Sutter Buttes Little League and football with the River Valley Junior Falcons. Cody's favorite sport was definitely football. He played baseball for River Valley High School for two years. He just loved the team camaraderie, coaches and made many friendships through sports and school.
After graduating from River Valley High School, he started working in the construction industry. Cody was hired by Hylan West and worked as a Laborer, Operator, and then Safety Coordinator for 7 years before his recent passing. He traveled to many states working for Hylan West. Hylan West was truly a family to Cody.
Hunting and the outdoors was Cody's life and passion. He loved to travel and go on vacations. Cody was a remarkable person. He had the biggest heart, laugh, smile and was the most unselfish special human being. Cody was a true inspiration of character and strength to all his friends and family that knew and loved him. Cody lived life carefree and the way he wanted.
Cody is survived by his father, Michael Meyers of Yuba City; mother, Monica Meyers of Yuba City; brothers, Darrick Meyers and Logan Meyers, both of Yuba City; uncle, Gerard Meyers of Yuba City; grandfather, Thomas Howe of Sutter; grandmother, Brenda Howe of Sutter; aunt, Angela Jefferies of Oregon; uncle, Rollie Jefferies of Oregon; aunt, Pamela Whitmer of Hawaii; uncle, Bob Whitmer of Hawaii; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his nana/great- grandmother, Freda Kelley; nana/great-grandmother, Gertrude Needham; grandfather, Arnold Meyers; grandmother, Florence Meyers aunt, Kathy Yarbrough; and uncle, Tom Needham.
Services are scheduled to be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. Viewing will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023, 4-6pm, followed by Rosary at 6pm. Chapel Service held Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 11am, with Graveside Service immediately following at Sutter Cemetery.
Cody, you will truly be missed by all your friends and family! Love you more!
