Frank Bland

Frank Anthony "Tony" Bland passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on December 26, 1945, in De Queen, AR, to Frank and Alice Bland.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 59 years, Sherry Bland; his parents; and his brother, Jerry Bland.

He is survived by his three children, Alex Bland, Molly Holder, and Mike Bland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply and was immensely proud of.

Tony dedicated 30 years of his life to serving as a Church of Christ Minister, a calling he embraced with passion and faith.

He later retired from the state of California after 28 years of service. Tony had a profound love for Church of Christ Ministry and for the people he served.

He especially cherished time spent with his great-grandchildren and took great pride in the accomplishments of his grandchildren, particularly in their careers and military service.

He and Sherry shared many joyful memories together, especially camping at the beach, one of their favorite pastimes.

Known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, Tony could always bring a smile to those around him. His humor was truly one of a kind.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by Bubba, their beloved dog, but Molly will take good care of him, just like they would have wanted.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 12 PM, at Twin Cities Church of Christ, 1033 Royo Ranchero Road, Yuba City, CA 95993. A lunch reception will follow immediately at the church.

Tony will be remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration by all who knew him.
