Jerod Rogers

September 5, 1978 — February 8, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerod Buck Rogers, who left us on February 8, 2025, at the age of 46.

Jerod was born on September 5, 1978, in Sutter County, where he was raised and spent his life surrounded by the people he loved.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Doris Rogers; loving wife, Nicole Rogers; children, Cody Rogers and Madison Rogers; and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jerod graduated from Sutter High School in 1996, and went on to attend Yuba College, where he earned his AA Degree.

He then went onto Butte College, where he earned his certification as a heavy equipment operator, and his certificate in mechanized AG, a profession that reflected his deep passion for working with machinery.

His love for operating machines was evident in everything he did, and he took pride in his work.

For the past 21 years, Jerod has worked for Sutter County Public Works Department, where he worked his way to road maintenance superintendent.

More than anything, Jerod was a man of integrity, respect, and unwavering loyalty. He cherished his family above all else and was known for fiercely loving those closest to him.

Whether it was trips to the lake, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, or riding the general with friends, Jerod made the most of every moment and embraced the great outdoors with a sense of adventure and joy.

He found peace in nature and lived his life to the fullest, always ready for the next great adventure.

Jerod also had a deep love for music, earning him the affectionate nickname "DJ Jerod."

He was always the one with the perfect playlist, and he took pleasure in sharing his love of music with everyone around him.

Though Jerod may no longer be with us, his memory and the lessons he taught us about living life with passion, joy, and a full heart, will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

In his honor, we will continue to embrace the adventures he loved, knowing that he is with us in every step we take.

Rest in peace, Jerod. You will never be forgotten.
