Kartar Singh Takhar

Kartar S. Takhar passed away on September 4, 2015 at the age of 101, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 7, 1914 in Shankar, Punjab, India. He was a farmer in Yuba City for 48 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karam Singh and Karam Kaur; his wife, Kartari Kaur; his brothers, Darshan, Gurmej, Naranjan; his sister, Kartari Kaur and his sons, Rashpal and Tarlock. He is survived by his brother, Hardev; his sons, Amrik, Pal, Mohinder, Harjit; daughter, Amarjit K. Sandhu; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The services will be held at Ullrey Memorial Chapel at 11 am on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Services will be officiated by Giani Ishwar Singh. Bogh services will follow at Bogue Road Sikh Temple.
