A proud member of the Live Oak High School Class of 1980, Lane graduated and went on to devote his life to farming and the agriculture industry.

He took great pride in his work and was respected by those who knew him for his dedication, loyalty, and strong work ethic.

Lane found joy in the outdoors and was happiest when he was hunting and fishing.

Whether in the orchard, the duck blind, on the water, or spending time with family and friends, he embraced life with a dark sense of humor and genuine spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all else, Lane treasured his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Harris; father, Donald Harris; and brother, Craig Harris.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Lisa Boone Harris, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years and 43 years of marriage. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and love.

Lane's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the values he instilled, and the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his passion for farming, his love of the outdoors, his occasional gambling excursions, and the steady presence he provided to all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10 AM, at Live Oak Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Park at Lomo Cold Storage.
