Marilyn Patricia Sorensen

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Patricia "Pat" Sorensen, who departed this life on June 17, 2025, at the age of 94.

Born on July 29, 1930, in Hammond, IN, Patricia lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, service, and grace.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Sorensen, with whom she shared 78 devoted years of marriage, a remarkable journey built on love, faith, and unwavering partnership. Together, they created a lasting legacy through generations of family and shared memories.

Patricia was a dedicated schoolteacher who touched countless young lives with her kindness and wisdom.

A woman of many talents, she was also a gifted seamstress and accomplished quilt maker, crafting beauty and comfort with every stitch. Her passion for genealogy made her the cherished keeper of family history.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose love and guidance spanned five generations.

Patricia will be remembered for her faith, her creative heart, and her deep devotion to family, education, and tradition.

Funeral services will be held on June 27, 2025, at 11 AM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1480 Butte House Road, Yuba City, CA 95991.
