Michael Rose
Sep 13, 1972 — Sep 9, 2023
Michael Rose, age 50, passed away on September 9, 2023 in Marysville, CA. He was born September 13, 1972, and was raised in Colusa and Arbuckle, CA. Michael, known as "Fish" by many friends, had an infectious laugh and a self-deprecating sense of humor. He enjoyed both taunting and entertaining friends with his karaoke (which did improve over time), and regaling listeners with stories from his past. His love for his family and friends was steady and deep. During different seasons of his life, he volunteered with the Guardian Angels security patrol, served as a sexton of the Marysville Historic Cemetery, and led worship services at the Twin Cities Rescue Mission. Michael is survived by his mother, Carol Edwards, his brother, Brian Rose, his son, Eric Rossi, and his cherished granddaughter, Aaliyah Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Rose, and his sister, Pamela Heflen. A service will be held to honor and remember Michael's life on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity that makes you think of Michael–his crazy antics, his passion for protecting the vulnerable, or his big heart.
