Rose Myers

Rose Myers, 87, passed away on December 3, 2016. She was a long-time resident of Yuba City, CA. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Albert "AJ" Myers and wife Judy of Washington, Elizabeth Thate and husband Don of Alberta Canada, Milly Reese and husband Jim of Yuba City and Katie Dupen and husband Keith of Texas. She had 6 grandchildren: Kelly Gore of Georgia, Craig Dupen of Texas and Donna Thate of Alberta Canada, Michael Reese of Marysville, Brian and Chris Reese of Fortuna, CA and 7 great-grandchildren, Fynn, Sage and Kallan, all of Alberta Canada, Claire and Natalie Dupen of Texas, Jacob and Christopher Reese of Fortuna, CA (as well as her "fur" grandbabies Merlin and Gidgit). She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Myers, 22 years ago. She passed on the 72nd anniversary of their marriage. Rose was born during the Great Depression in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1929. There were 6 other siblings. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was happiest when scrapbooking family pictures, crocheting and playing Chinese Checkers. She was a member of her beloved church, St. Isidore's in Yuba City, where she helped with many projects for the Faith Formation ministry. There will be a viewing at Ullrey Memorial Chapel Thursday evening, December 8th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary led by Deacon Eldon Vignery. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Isidore Church Friday, December 9 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Sierra View Memorial Park and a reception gathering following. Friends are welcome and invited to join the Celebration of Life for this strong, loving lady.
