Sammie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children: Leeland Davis, Jarrade Davis, Jurrell Davis, Jeremy Davis, Lamar Johnson, Lurrel Johnson of Sacramento, Kimyada Kolemane Davis (and wife Maloree) of South Carolina, Olympia Deshaun Davis Sarkodie (and husband Francis) of Texas, Kimyatta Horton of Sacramento. His siblings: Joan Davis Williams of South Carolina, Johnny Davis of Vallejo and Paul Davis of South Carolina. Mothers of his children: Alissia Woodyard of Sacramento, Myra Hill and Queen Esther McKnight. Sisters-in- Law: Kala Taylor of Sacramento and Angel Jenkins of Sacramento, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends.Sammie Davis is preceded in death by his parents John William Davis Jr. and Mable Eaddy Davis; sons Edward and Gerald Horton; brother William Davis, and brother-in-law James William.Memorial will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 1:00pm at Good Seed Church of God in Christ, 1005 Kimball Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991
