Sherrie Lynn (Wicker) Leslie, 74, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, peacefully in Chico, California.
Sherrie was born in Roseville, California, to Marion and Barbara "Bobbie" Clark, on September 21, 1948. She graduated from Roseville High School in 1967, and began her career working for Bank of America after graduation.
Sherrie's career with Bank of America lasted forty (40) years, starting in Roseville, transferring to the Marysville Branch in 1970, then to Nevada City and retiring from the Grass Valley Branch in 2008. She was anxious to retire, as she was about to welcome her only biological grandson (Adam), within two weeks from retiring.
Sherrie loved her family, being a grandmother to Adam in addition to gardening, traveling, sewing and entertaining. Her weekly luncheons with the Bank of America ladies, was high on her list, along with girl trips and watching her grandson's sports and school functions.
Sherrie and her husband, David, who she was married to for 35 years, enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving Dinner every year. They welcomed anyone and everyone who could attend. She was also very active in her church, often working in the kitchen or managing the financial books.
Sherrie is preceded in death by her husband, David Jo Leslie; and her parents, Marion and Barbara Clark.
Sherrie is survived by her daughter, Kristina (Jason) Estes; brother Bucky (Jane) Clark; stepdaughter, Kristine Leslie; stepson, Kent Leslie; grandson, Adam Simpson; granddaughter, Kelly Addington; grandson, Paul Strange; and many more extended family and dear friends.
Sherrie loved a good party, but did not want a service held for her.
