Barbara Jeane Johnson

Barbara Johnson, 78, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, after an extended illness.   Born March 7, 1947, to Russell and Helen Hamilton, Barbara lived a full and generous life grounded in family, faith, and curiosity about the world. She married her husband, Aaron “Bill” Johnson, on July 11, 1965, and together they shared more than sixty years of love, laughter, and adventure.   Barbara worked for many years at Hamilton’s Bakery and later as a school bus driver for Poudre School District. She adored the children who rode her bus and took pride in helping them start and end their school days with a smile.   She loved tracing her family history and traveling with Bill. She found joy in simple moments—collecting flow blue china, writing, and watching the birds and squirrels outside her window.   Barbara was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness whose strong faith in God guided her through every season of life.   She is survived by her husband, Bill Johnson; daughter, Laura Chandler of Fort Collins; and son, Joel Johnson of Indianapolis, Illinois. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her eldest son, Jeffery Johnson.   She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and quiet strength.
