Mary Charlotte Barghelame

Mary Charlotte (Nell) Barghelame passed away June 19th, 2026 at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Mary was born to Roderick and Frances Nell on October 3rd, 1956 in Milton, Florida.

She married Ayoub Barghelame, whom she married on August 27th, 1974.

She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1988 with a BS in Nursing. She then completed her Master's degree at the University of Wyoming in 1995 to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She worked in service to her patients in Greeley, Fort Collins and Windsor, Colorado. She also owned and operated Avalon Arbor Medical Spa.

Mary had three children, a son, Ali Barghelame (Centennial) married to Jill, and two daughters Yasamin Tarin (Fort Collins, CO) married to Jorge, and Nadia Barghelame, who preceded her in death. She had four grandchildren: Izak, Lissette, Nadia and Aristo.

She is also survived by her husband, Ayoub Barghelame. She enjoyed 51 years of marriage.

She was a strong and compassionate woman. She had a brilliant mind and a heart full of love. She excelled in all endeavors including marriage, motherhood, medical practice, baking, quilting, jewelry making, and friendships.

Mary’s devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She also enjoyed her horses, cats, dogs and chickens and was always generous to anyone in need.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hee-Haw Halfway House Donkey Rescue. Donations can be left at the Celebration of Life or in care of Vessey Funeral Services.

Mary’s Celebration of Life will be held on June 29th, 2026 from 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Barghelame family residence.
