Hilda Leal De Chavez
May 20, 1952 — April 13, 2026
In loving memory of Hilda Leal De Chavez , who was born on May 20, 1952, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Manuela Leal Lopez and Juan Leal, and entered eternal rest on April 13, 2026, at the age of 73.
She was raised alongside her siblings—Rosalinda, Blanca, Nora, Jesus, Bernardo, and Julio—and her brother Juan, who preceded her in death.
Hilda lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family and community. She spent many years in Rogers, Arkansas, where she worked as a cook aide in a nursing home, providing care and kindness to many before her retirement. She later made her home in Colorado. She was the loving mother of three children: Juan and Hilda, and her son Jorge, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Rodolfo Chavez Cavazos; her children, Juan and Hilda; her seven grandchildren; her brothers and sisters; as well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuela Leal Lopez and Juan Leal; her son, Jorge; her granddaughter, Dalexsynn, who was like a second daughter to her; and her brother, Juan Manuel Leal.
Hilda had a deep passion for cooking and found great joy in sharing her meals with others. Her faith in God was a guiding force in her life, and she found happiness in attending, organizing, and participating in church events.
She will be remembered most for her warm and welcoming personality. She had a special gift for conversation—able to speak with anyone and quickly make a friend. Her kindness, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her memory will remain a lasting example of love, faith, and generosity.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” — John 11:25
