Charlotte Marie Hines
April 23, 1928 — July 19, 2025
Charlotte Marie Hines, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 97. She was born on April 23, 1928 in Denver, Colorado to Walter and Helen (Ostling) Engelhardt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack C. Hines, her parents, her sisters, Jacqueline Walsh (Jack) and Nancy Gauer (Mike), and her nephew, Derek Hines (Julie). She is survived by her three children, Jeffrey Hines (Gloria), Jill (Hines) Deeter (Stephen), and Mark Hines (Judy), her sister, Ginger Oswald, her grandchildren, Jason Hines (Jessica), Kelle Soucier (Phillip), Justin Deeter, and Autumn Hines, and her great-grandchildren, Addison Hines, Brody Hines, Brielyn Hines, Kinsley Hines, Caydrin Hines, Noah Soucier and Audrey Soucier, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was a devoted wife and mother and was dearly loved by her family, she worked as a high-level executive secretary for Johnson & Johnson, The H. J. Heinz Co., the Denver Stadium Commission and the Federal Government. After being raised in Chicago, she and Jack moved to Pittsburg, PA and then South Bend, IN where their children were born. They were excited to move to Colorado where they raised their family and lived out their lives (except for one year in Sheridan WY where they couldn't wait to get back to Colorado). Charlotte loved Loveland and called it "Paradise." She enjoyed gardening, reading, music and walking the many beloved dogs she owned over the years. She had many dear friends and her door was always open to the neighborhood children who frequently visited. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and was warm and loving to all who knew her. She was an Angel here on earth and will now be our Angel in Heaven.
