Fernando "Fan" Mejia

Fernando Mejia was born in Texas on February 24, 1948  to Margarita Zubia Mejia and Louis Mejia Sr. He went home to meet the Lord on February 21, 2025.

Fernando is survived by his children Angel, Sarah Quist (John), Jeremiah Mejia and Gabriel Mejia, brother Armando Carrion Jr (Vicki), grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fernando (Fan) is preceded in death by his parents Margarita and Louis Mejia Sr, brothers Ramon Carrion and Armando Carrion Sr, Louis Mejia Jr, sisters Olga Carrion and Gloria Cortinas.

Fernando moved to Loveland in 1963 at the age of 15 and graduated from Loveland High School. He was in the school band and enjoyed playing many different instruments. His true passion was playing guitar, though. He played in several area bands over the course of his lifetime. In recent months, many nurses, doctors and residents were inspired by his music and talent. He always had a guitar by his side. Many friends and family have memories of fishing alongside Fan. Being lakeside with a fishing pole was another one of his favorite pastimes.

Cremation has been performed and memorial services are April 11, 2025 at 2:30 at Loveland Senior Center with reception following. 700 E 4th St, Loveland.
