Leonard Richard Hinrichs

Leonard "Len" Hinrichs of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the age of 91. He was born in the village of Glenvil, Nebraska on October 29, 1929. Len is best known for the years he and his wife owned and ran Hinrichs Fabrics and made and sold wooden toys through "Crafty by Nature". Prior to that, he worked in a bakery, served in the Air Force and worked as a Service Manager for Ford. After closing the store, he went to work as a vehicle insurance adjuster. He spent the later years of his life making wooden toys (also known as making sawdust) and playing bridge. Len often astonished people with the designs he created for his cars & trucks and his quirky sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Len was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy "Dottie" and several siblings. He is survived by his children David, Richard and Diane and his sister Irene. Memorial services will be held at Viegut Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 2:00pm.
