LeRoy Raymond Coulter

LeRoy Raymond Coulter, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep May 28, 2026. Born on November 16,1926, in Randolf Nebraska, LeRoy lived a long fulfilling life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

LeRoy was the cherished son of Berdeen and Floyd Coulter.

In 1947, LeRoy married the love of his life, Phyllis Hanson, in a ceremony in San Francisco, California. They honeymooned across the country back to Iowa. Along the way they fell in love with Colorado and decided to move there and start their life together. Several family members joined them.

LeRoy is survived by sister, Edna; daughter, Margaret (Larry); Grandchildren, Jason (Mychaelyn), Erin (Bo), Sarah (Bryce), Chelsea (Derrick), Jade; and Great-grandchildren, Corbin, Lauren, Matthew and Lydia.

LeRoy was an avid woodcarver known for his intricate carvings of Indian heads, which he made for sisters, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

LeRoy was a dedicated member of King of Glory Lutheran Church where he found solace and community throughout his life. His faith was a guiding light and he cherished the friendships he made there.

The Coulter family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses and CNAs at Norterre Astoria as well as Interium Hospice for their support during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in LeRoy’s name to King of Glory Lutheran Church, which was dear to his heart.

As we celebrate LeRoy’s remarkable life we remember him not only for his talents and achievements but also for the love and laughter he brought to those around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
